A social enterprise that specifically employs special needs youth, Joan Bowen Café was born as a humble dream of Joan’s, a special needs youth who wanted to be a chef. Located within an atas HDB, Wild Wild Catch is a western stall at Essen @ The Pinnacle. Granted, it’s not technically a restaurant or cafe, but the clean and cosy ambience sure makes it close to one. Their signature Fish & Chips ($12) is served with seasoned fries, garden salad and lemon with a choice of tartar sauce or Greek yogurt. 10. Mad Jack
Serving classic western fare in a casual and fuss-free environment, Mad Jack is a Halal-certified bistro conveniently located near Dhoby Ghaut MRT.
