Dining City Presents 11th Edition of Singapore Restaurant Week

16th September 2015

About Singapore Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week 2If there’s one thing Singapore Restaurant Week is known for it’s depleting my bank account with a bunch of affordable set meals from some of Singapore’s top restaurants. This edition features a “Sinfully Delectable” theme that will have restaurants and chefs showcase their culinary skills and passion as they battle to win over the hearts and stomachs of Singaporeans.

Here are some dishes to look forward to at Restaurant Week:

Truffle Bao with Short Rib Stuffing at Xperience

Restaurant Week 4This  no-expense-spared decadence comes in the form of two petite baos. These little charcoal and truffle paste infused buns are filled with a tender short rib filling, and finished off with a touch of gold flakes and truffle oil.

If you’re a fan of fusion cuisines, Xperience is one place to look out for during restaurant week. Just like this truffle bao, its other dishes feature local cuisine inspired by mediterranean and Italian flavours.

Duck Confit at Violet Herbs

Restaurant Week 3Violet herbs is known for its bold flavours, and this duck confit is a good way to get acquainted with this up and coming Modern European restaurant at a reasonable price during restaurant week.

Their duck confit has been cooked for 36 hours at 65˚c before being finished off with a sear, resulting in fork-tender, juicy meat. It is served alongside sauteed baby spinach, herbs potato, and a foie gras duck jus.

Rum Cocoa Mousse Bar at KUVO

Restaurant Week 1KUVO is TCC’s multi-concept store in Orchard – an intimate sanctuary to take a step back from the world and indulge in the fine things in life. Their rum cocoa mousse bar, filled with rum-soaked raisins, is a bittersweet end to the evening. It is creamy and rich, but not overwhelmingly so.
