Prata ‘Baklava’
Baklava is a traditional sweet pastry that’s typically made with filo pastry, coarsely grounded nuts, and syrup.

- 5 pieces frozen prata
- 1 cup pistachios, coarsely grounded
- 3 tbsp sugar
- melted butter
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup sugar
- 3 drops rose syrup
Mix ground pistachio and sugar and set aside.
Brush melted butter onto cake pan. Add prata, brush melted butter, add nut mixture, add prata, and repeat you reach the top with the fifth prata.
Brush the fifth prata with melted butter, and use a paring knife to cut designs onto it.
Bake in a preheated oven of 170°C for 40 minutes or till golden brown.
In a small bowl, add water, sugar, and rose syrup and place into a microwave for 30 seconds. Mix till sugar is well dissolved.
When the baklava is ready, drizzle rose syrup onto hot baklava and garnish with pistachio. Let the baklava rest and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
