B For Bagel Has Viral Crackling Lattes From Korea At Tanglin Mall

B For Bagel has viral cracking lattes

Korea’s trendy cracking lattes have finally made their way to Singapore, brought to you by popular bagel cafe, B For Bagel. These viral drinks are now available at the cafe’s Tanglin Mall outlet, from $7.90.

First off, what’s a cracking latte? If you’re not chronically on foodtok like we are, you might have missed the bandwagon. These are essentially coffee-based drinks served in a cup lined with a chocolate shell.

You squeeze the cup to crack the shell before drinking. Make sure you crack it properly, so bits of chocolate make it into your drink. For the larger chunks, you’ll just have to wait till you’re done with your drink, and fish ‘em out of the cup to munch on.

At B For Bagel, you can find four flavours of the drink. There’s the Matcha ($7.90), featuring your classic, earthy matcha latte poured into a dark chocolate shell. If you prefer more caffeine with your green tea, then the Dirty Matcha ($8.90) is the way to go, as it comes with a shot of espresso.

Coffee lovers can go straight for the Coffee ($7.90) cracking latte, but if you’re abstaining from caffeine, then the Chocolate ($7.90) is your go-to. The latter features an iced chocolate drink that’s not too sweet, complemented by the dark chocolate shell.

Aside from the cracking lattes, B For Bagel serves a wide range of bagels, sweet and savoury, as well as other desserts. They’re a great spot for a quick sit down breakfast or lunch, but also have a variety of bakes you can grab-and-go.

We quite enjoyed their Smoked Salmon Bagel ($16.90+), which sees a poppy seed bagel layered with thick pieces of smoked salmon, cream cheese, fresh tomatoes, capers and pickled onions.

If it’s a sweet treat you’re after to pair with the cracking latte, then try their Peach Cloud ($7.50+), where a chewy bagel meets fresh whipped cream and canned peach slices.

B For Bagel also serves a selection of regular coffees and teas to enjoy with your order, if getting on the latest coffee trend isn’t what you’re after.
