With its panoramic view of Sentosa and Harbourfront, Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro is as romantic as it gets. Should you have your date night dinner close to 7pm, you’ll be able to enjoy the Golden Hour view, and watch as the sun sets beyond the trees and the city lights.

The fare at Arbora is surprisingly affordable. A nice, hearty Handcrafted Hamburger with a thick beef patty, bacon streaks, and fluffy fries will set you back $29++, while juicy Tomahawk Pork Ribs cost $28++. If you want to go even cheaper, a plate of Beef Bolognese goes for just $18++.

2. Sen-ryo


Since Japanese food is pretty much universally loved in Singapore, choosing an acclaimed and gorgeous Japanese restaurant such as Sen-ryo is a safe bet for your date night dinner.

Located within ION Orchard, Sen-ryo is also a great pick if you’re planning on shopping after a lovely meal.

And though the restaurant serves delicious, premium Japanese food, you’re unlikely to break the bank while dining here. 3. Good Bites

Good Bites, located within Bishan Sports Hall, may not seem like the most romantic location, but the cafe’s appearance more than makes up for it. With gorgeous fairy lights and neon signages decorating the area, Good Bites is both stylish and atmospheric, which makes it a good place for a date.

It’s also the most affordable place by far. Mains such as the Tom Yum Pasta ($12.90++) and Da Burger Bomb ($15.50++), which features succulent grilled teriyaki chicken as its patty, are all comfortably under $20++. To make the night extra sweet, you can order one of the cafe’s many Milkshakes (from $9.90++), too.

4. The Summerhouse


The Summerhouse offers not one, but four dining concepts that are perfect for an occasion such as Valentine’s Day. There’s The Summerhouse French Dining Room, a farm-to-table restaurant; The Summerhouse Garden Domes, an immersive dining experience set amid a lush garden; and Wildseed, a cafe, patisserie and bistro-bar. For delectable French food, The Summerhouse French Dining Room is your ideal choice. Dishes such as L’Entrecote Classic ‘Steak Frites’ ($45++), which gets you a thick slab of Angus sirloin steak with bearnaise sauce, are an example of the classics done right. For some seafood goodness, the Filet de Vivaneau Poele ($40++), featuring red snapper cooked with piperade, comes highly recommended.

5. Altro Zafferano

Located on the 43rd floor of the Ocean Financial Centre, Altro Zafferano overlooks the cityscape the way few restaurants do. But this restaurant isn’t merely known for its stunning view—it serves up some of the best modern Italian food in the country.

A must-try here is the House-made Tagliolini with Langoustine Carpaccio ($48++), which stars fresh langoustine lobsters and al dente tagliolini that’s drenched in scampi bisque sauce. Another main dish under $50++ that’s a great option is the Spagetti with San Marzano Tomatoes ($32++). 6. Spago Dining Room

The first international offshoot of celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck’s Beverly Hills restaurant, Spago Dining Room spotlights Californian cuisine with global influences. Located on the 57th floor of the Marina Bay Sands, this restaurant gives you a great view of the city’s skyline too.

8. SKAI Restaurant


While the view from Altro Zafferano is certainly impressive, the 70th floor SKAI Restaurant takes that one step further. Even the towering Marina Bay Sands looks unimposing from up there.

As you soak in the beautiful sights and interiors, you’ll be treated to some truly stellar fusion fare. Dishes such as the Westholme Wagyu ($75++) and Gundagai Australian Lamb Rack ($62++), which makes use of wasabi leaves and nori seaweed, are said to be immaculately prepared and feature only the finest ingredients.
