Bundt by The Backyard Bakers opens at Jewel Changi

Easties are in for another sweet treat—Bundt by The Backyard Bakers has finally opened their second outlet in Jewel Changi, bringing their chocolatey treats and pastries to the East.

Proudly proclaiming themselves to be the “Original Blackout Brownie Dealer”, Bundt By The Backyard Bakers has been selling their famous blackout brownies at their Havelock Road flagship store since 2017. Their new outlet at Jewel Changi boasts a minimalist dark aesthetic, softened by lush greenery and warm cove lights.

Get your hands on their signature Black Brownies (from $6.20), which are loved for their crust and soft, molten centre.

They come in a whopping total of 13 flavours, including all-time favourites such as Valrhona Dulcey & Sea Salt, Peanut Butter & Pink Salt, and Premium Hojicha.

Another popular item at Bundt By The Backyard Bakers is their Black Brookies (from $5.95), which marries the best parts of a cookie and brownie. One of their bestselling flavours is Molten Lava Dark Choc & Sea Salt, which stars a smooth, luscious chocolate centre within a chewy cookie dough.

The Backyard Bakers also have toothsome mini loaves of Banana Bread (from $6.50), with interesting names such as Bless This Mess Valrhona Dark Choc Trail, Walnut & #BaoJiak Honey Nut Crunch. Their take on banana bread is said to boast a rich Valrhona chocolate centre, and is topped with honey-toasted cornflakes, almond slices and walnuts.

Apart from their sweet treats, they also have savoury items on the menu, including their famous Otah Crostini ($5.30). This sees a generous portion of house-made spicy otah atop a sourdough toast.

There are also other interesting items, such as French Toast ($17.65), which comes with a thick, fluffy toast with a spicy Italian sausage on the side. The toast is loaded with a variety of fruits including mango, dragonfruit, and blueberries before being drizzled with sweet maple syrup.

Currently, these items are only available at their Havelock outlet on rotation, so we’ll have to wait and see if these items will soon be put on the menu at the new Jewel store.
