Fellow fans of Italian fare would know of Chicco Pasta Bar, a popular pasta bar in Telok Ayer and Holland Village that went viral on social media recently. If you’ve tried and loved their offerings, you’ll want to check out CENZO, another Italian restaurant helmed by the same Australian Chef Drew Nocente. For easy access, this restaurant is a five-minute walk from Chinatown MRT Station.

Let’s start with their fresh handmade pasta selection consisting of seven items. Prices range from $26++ to $35++, with one of the most popular dishes being the Conchiglie Con Granchio ($35++). A vibrant plate of this pasta comes topped with crab meat and trout roe, evenly mixed with rich, creamy bisque.

Chicco Pasta Bar is mainly known for their handmade pasta, but that’s not all to CENZO. Pastas comprise a small portion of the menu, and the majority see other mains, sharing sides, and desserts. One good example is the crowd-favourite Frico ($26++), a traditional Italian dish featuring a cheese pancake with potato, prosciutto, and finished with arugula.

If you’re working in the area and dropping by for a quick bite, we recommend their Pastrami ($26++) starring melted house-cured beef pastrami, melted cheese, and a colourful mix of vegetables.

We encourage you to make a reservation in advance to avoid a wasted trip. FYI, there’s a minimum spending of $80++ per person for those visiting during dinner in a group of more than six people.
