We’ve found 11 places offering fresh oysters from $1 so you can devour these treasures of the sea without worrying about going broke.


1. Humpback

After returning from a vacation to Hama Hama Oyster Saloon in the States, the founders of Humpback started this Seattle-style restaurant that offers Hama Hama’s oysters for $7++. They’ve also got oysters from other regions, and you can enjoy all their oysters for $3++ during their happy hour, which runs all day on Monday, and from opening to 6pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

Coupled with cheap oysters, there’s also happy hour for wines, where you get 20% off all bottles at the same time.

2. The Oyster Bank

Nestled along a foodie alley in Funan Mall is The Oyster Bank, an oyster bar that has a simple goal of offering quality oysters without breaking the bank. Oysters start at $2 apiece during happy hour from 5pm to 8pm on weekdays, and 3pm to 6pm on weekends.

The one condition to get this deal is that you must order one alcoholic drink per half dozen oysters, but that should be no difficult feat. Outside of happy hour, prices start at $3.90 apiece and get cheaper the more you order, be it six or 12 pieces. There are also flavours to pick from, including the Bloody Mary (from $4.25/piece), and baked Mentaiko (from $4.50/piece) oysters.

Tuesdays are Fresh Oysters Day at Greenwood Fish Market, which offers oysters at $1.95++ each (U.P. from $4.50) with every main course ordered. This place is a great option for large groups with its variety of platters such as Cold Seafood Platter ($99.95++), Smoked Platter ($59.95++) and Sashimi Platter ($46.95++). 5. Angie’s Oyster Bar And Grill

Angie’s Oyster Bar And Grill is one of the OG places in Singapore to get your fresh oyster fix. From Monday to Thursday, the restaurant runs a Happy Shucking Hour promotion, where you can get oysters for just $1.50++ apiece. Enjoy this alongside their 1-for-1 Pimm’s Cup promo (U.P. $17++ each), and chase away your after-work blues with an oyster in one hand, cocktail in another. Do note the promotion doesn’t apply on eve of or on public holidays.

Happy Hours are our favourite when it comes to drinks, and Tanuki Raw offers a $2 deal for freshly shucked oysters with every drink ordered, with a limit of six oysters per drink.

Other promotions during happy hour at their Orchard Central brunch include $7 for 5 slices of salmon sashimi and $10 pints of beer. This promotion is valid daily from 5pm to 8pm, which makes this a perfect spot for after-work relaxation or a light dinner. Tucked away in a Chinatown shophouse, the restaurant is great for date nights, or to simply jio your oyster lovin’ pals along for a feast.
