Good news if you’re heading to Johor Bahru (JB) over the next few days: Chill Day Night Market is a new food bazaar at Sutera Square, a 20-minute drive from JB customs. The mega food fair, which houses over 150 stalls, runs till 31 August 2025.

The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.30 as of 27 August 2025.

Matcha fans can head straight to Hey, Matcha‘s kiosk. The cheapest item on their menu is their Matcha Latte, priced at RM12.80, which works out to just under S$4—a steal in this economy. Other popular renditions include the Strawberry Matcha Latte (RM15.80) and Banana Pudding Latte (RM17.80), topped with a sweet and decadent banana cream pudding.

Right beside Hey, Matcha is Restu F&B Marketing, where you can get fried ice cream similar to the ones by the famous Taiwanese brand Frozen Heart. These come in a wide range of flavours, including Premium Yam and Musang Royale King Durian.

Takoyaki is sold at the same stall, so you can grab a savoury snack while you’re there!

We spotted a few stalls selling the trendy tanghulu, too. For the uninitiated, tanghulu is a popular Chinese street snack comprising skewered fruits coated in a sugar syrup.

If that’s not enough sweet treats for you, head to Thailand Toasted Bun for your Yaowarat bun fix. These soft buns are toasted on a grill and come with your choice of filling: Chocolate, Peanut, Butter Sugar, Pandan Kaya, Matcha, Thai Milk Tea, Strawberry, or Blueberry. Pay RM4 for one or RM11 for three.

Other highlights include made-to-order dorayaki AKA Japanese pancakes, Korean spicy egg roll noodles, and Ipoh claypot coffee.

Chill Day Night Market runs till 31 August, so make your way down before it’s too late!
