Expect the lines at Don Don Donki to be further extended with their new Sweet Potato Milkshake ($4.90).
Look out for it at the Japan Mobile Foods Corner of both Don Don Donki outlets at 100 AM and Orchard Central. And just like the baked sweet potatoes, the drink is only available while stocks last, so you might want to head down early.

Don Don Donki members can get the milkshake at a $1 discount, making it a good idea to download the free app. You can also collect points for purchase made in-stores and redeem them for additional discounts.

The shake is blended with Hokkaido milk, giving an added boost of richness. The creamy milk blends well with the slight earthiness of the baked sweet potato, making it a great post-meal treat.

I’m a fan of their Baked Sweet Potato ($2.80). Hailing from Don Don Donki’s own plantation in Japan, each person is only allowed to buy two pieces, highlighting the popular demand for this snack.

The potatoes have a rich buttery-like texture that melts in the mouth almost immediately. The flesh is also exceedingly sweet, with a nice caramelised flavour to it.
Affordable and filling, I always make it a point to grab these potatoes whenever I’m around the area. The only bad part about it is the long wait, which can take up to an hour if you miss the batch.
Will you be trying out the sweet potato milkshake at Don Don Donki? Or will you rather stick to bubble tea as your go-to sugary treat? Let us know in the comments below!
And if you’re around the Orchard outlet, be sure to check out Hokkaido Marche, the Japanese food court located just next door.
Address: 181 Orchard Road, B2, Orchard Central, Singapore 238896
Opening hours: Daily 7am to 10pm
