Cupping Room Coffee Roasters, Charlie Tea, and Flippers aren’t the only snazzy newcomers at Ngee Ann City that are worth heading to the mall for. They now have to share the spotlight with Drips Bakery Café, who have recently opened their second outlet at Basement 2, right where Aloha Poke used to be.

Those who frequent Tiong Bahru, an estate brimming with cafes and patisseries, would’ve come across Drips’ decade-old, 50-seater flagship branch. This cafe is known for their tarts. Besides that, they serve pretty good cakes and pies as well.

The new outlet at Ngee Ann city has a smaller, cosier space, with about 15 seats. Main dishes such as the pasta, nasi lemak, and chicken curry that are offered at their flagship branch will not be available at this outlet. However, you can expect an array of their mouthwatering tarts and other baked treats to line the shelves in their Orchard store.

Their fruit tarts are crowd-pleasers that have legions of fans coming back for more. One of them is the Fresh Yuzu Tart ($9.90), which features a refreshing Koichi yuzu curd crowned with a generous dollop of meringue, nestled in a crispy, hand-moulded tart shell. It is then topped with a sprinkling of citrus zest. Opt for the outlet-exclusive Mini Tarts Special, where you can choose up to six mini tarts for just $26.80.
If you’re looking for a place in town to satisfy your post-meal sweet cravings, pop by this cafe!
