Come Friday, 10 April 2020, fans can finally reunite with Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart and Aerith Gainsborough when Final Fantasy VII Remake launches on the PS4. However, those looking for an early train to Midgar can turn to the Final Fantasy VII pop-up cafe at Watanabe Coffee from 27 March to 20 April 2020.
Although Watanabe Coffee’s standard menu will still be available, the item to spend your gil on is undoubtedly the Special FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Set Menu ($28.90++). The meal comprises a Moogle Sweet Mousse dessert and a choice of one special drink that’s themed after the characters: Cloud, Aerith, and the Turks.
The dessert will summon a sweet Moogle-shaped cake, a macaron, and fresh fruits onto the plate for a saccharine combo. On the other hand, the themed drinks will range from an assortment of flavours including pineapple and lemon, and will be topped with the likes of a Buster Sword and an edible flower.
Furthermore, hardcore collectors of Final Fantasy items will be glad to know that the set meal comes with a gorgeous dining mat of the iconic cover art, and two character coasters. Options for the latter are Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret, and Sephiroth.Â
While you’re there, be sure to check out the demo booths splayed across the cafe where you can try out the game for free.Â
The cafe will only be around till 20 April 2020, so be sure to check it out before it’s gone!
