Flipper’s Opens In Jurong East With $1 Pancakes

Flipper’s has new outlet-exclusive pancakes in Westgate

Souffle pancake fans, listen up: Flipper’s, the famed Japanese souffle pancake cafe from Tokyo, has officially opened their new outlet in Westgate! To celebrate their new opening, Flipper’s is offering their yummy Maple Butter Cream Pancake (U.P. $12,80) for just $1! What’s more: diners will receive a 30% return discount voucher this weekend, on 4 and 5 November 2023, while stocks last.

Do note that this $1 promotion runs from 4 November, 11am, to 5 November. It’s limited to the first 50 diners and you can only redeem it once.

For those who aren’t very familiar with Flipper’s: they’re the OG inventors of souffle pancakes. Their Omotesando outlet in Tokyo sees long queues to this day, but thanks to their Singapore opening, you no longer have to take a flight out to get your fix.

Flipper’s first opened in Singapore in 2020, and garnered long queues for their signature fuwa fuwa Kiseki Pancake ($16.80). Their flagship outlet, which closed its doors in mid-October, was located in Takashimaya.

They’re best known for their plain Kiseki Pancakes, served with a dollop of fresh cream and maple syrup, as well as a dusting of powdered sugar. However, Flipper’s also serves up other sweet and even savoury souffle pancake options.

You can look forward to their new outlet-exclusive savoury pancakes, such as the Japanese Curry and Chicken Katsu Pancake and Ham and Egg Souffle Pancake. The former features a crispy breaded katsu ladled in Japanese curry with their fluffy and cloud-like Kiseki Pancakes, along with a sunny side-up and a side of salad.

On the other hand, the Ham and Egg Souffle Pancake comes with turkey bacon, sauteed mushrooms, a sunny side-up, and a side of salad, accompanied by a serving of Bearnaise sauce for you to drizzle over the dish with.

Otherwise, if you prefer sweet pancakes, a bestseller to go for is their Hazelnut Chocolate Kiseki Pancake ($21.80), served with a hazelnut chocolate spread and half a caramelised banana.

Visit them and explore their other new outlet-exclusive pancake offerings. Stay tuned as a brand representative has confirmed that you can look forward to another savoury option and six new sweet pancake choices, including a creme brûlée souffle pancake.
