Another one bites the dust: Fluff Bakery, an OG halal bakery that’s been around for 12 years, is officially closing its shutters for the last time in September 2025.
The IG-famous bakery first rose to fame during the height of the cupcake craze many years ago, but fans would know they offer more than just cupcakes—think Muslim-friendly doughnuts, breads, and coffee.
For something savoury, their Miso Butter Mushroom Galette ($5) is a delicious pick, featuring buttery pastry layers packed with an umami filling. Alternatively, order the Garlic Bechamel Spinach Mushroom Flatbread ($6.50) or Smoked Salmon and Spinach Quiche ($6.50).
While you’re there, be sure to try their famous cupcakes, priced at $4.50 a pop.
The Nutella Red Velvet Cupcake is a signature for good reason—it features a fluffy buttermilk cocoa cake filled with Nutella and topped with cream cheese frosting.
Other popular flavours are Horlicks, Salted Caramel, and Chocolate Malt Fudge Brownie: a chocolate cupcake with a rich chocolate fudge filling, crowned with a brownie square. Get a box of six for $24, which works out to just $4 a cupcake!
Don’t sleep on their doughnuts, too, priced at $4.50 each, or $16 for a box of four. Must-tries include Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Hazelnut.
On our previous visit, we found their doughnuts light and fluffy, without a greasy aftertaste.
Fluff Bakery is located along North Bridge Road, a seven-minute walk away from Lavender MRT Station. The bakery is said to close between mid to end of September, so head down soon before it’s too late!
