Easties, you’re in luck: Giant Hypermarket in Tampines has brought back its Ramadan Pasar Malam! From now till 30 March 2025, you can enjoy a wide range of local food stores at the famous hypermart’s carpark.

Here, you can expect classic street snacks such as takoyaki, tornado potatoes and more.

If you’re more into local snacks, the pasar malam offers the likes of muah chee, tutu kueh and other varieties of kueh that the whole family will enjoy. There’s also traditional vadai for those craving something fried and savoury.

Those looking for a heartier meal can opt for Turkish kebab, which gets you juicy, well-seasoned meat paired with an assortment of ingredients.

But of course, no pasar malam is complete without a Ramly burger, whose black pepper-seasoned patty, wrapped in a thin omelette and slathered with mayonnaise and chilli sauce, will fill you up in no time.

There are plenty of other exciting Ramadan food bazaars to check out during this festive period. For instance, there’s the ever-popular Geylang Serai Bazaar, which offers everything from Penang-famous roti awan to colourful kunafa desserts.

One must-try stall at Geylang Serai is Roti Awan. This viral brand from Penang is known for their roti awan, which translates to “cloud bread”—steamed-to-order buns loaded with your choice of filling. There are over 10 flavours to choose from here, including Matcha ($5), Kaya Kelapa ($5), and Rose Bandung Biscoff ($6).

There’s also the Kampong Gelam Bazaar, which boasts over 120 food and beverage vendors. Some of our favourite stalls at this one include La Birria Tacos, Gohed Gostan By Tarik, and Dubai Kunafa.
