This Retro Thrift Store Cafe At Golden Mile Has The Viral Banana Pudding Matcha

Haus Coffee at Golden Mile Tower has banana pudding matcha latte

In 2024, strawberry matcha latte took over our social media platforms by storm, and this 2025, banana pudding matcha latte seems to be the new it drink. Haus Coffee at Golden Mile Tower is one cafe—among many others—that jumped on the bandwagon, offering the trendy, delicious drink at nett price. The hip cafe is hidden within a thrift store!

The Banana Pudding Matcha ($9.50) features an iced matcha latte topped with a dollop of pudding made with whipped cream, custard, banana slices, sponge cake, and a generous serving of Biscoff cookie crumbs for extra texture.

The pudding wasn’t cloying at all; in fact, we felt that the portion served was just right. We also loved that the pudding added a delightful sweetness to the otherwise grassy and earthy matcha latte.

Plenty of prep goes into whipping up each cup of matcha latte, and after hunting for the best matcha cafes in Singapore, we’ve come to appreciate how much effort goes into making a single drink here.

Firstly, a bamboo whisk is used to get as much microfoam as possible. Then, whipping cream and sugar are added before everything is blended with a frother, creating a thick and creamy consistency. Thanks to this, the Iced Matcha Latte ($7.50) boasted a smooth texture and a rich umami flavour. The drink wasn’t too sweet as well.

Don’t leave without trying their Iced Strawberry Matcha ($8), which had a good milk-to-matcha ratio. Though we wished the strawberry bits were a tad chunkier for textural variety, it’s one of the better strawberry matcha lattes we’ve had in Singapore.

The cafe is located in a quiet corner of Golden Mile Tower, which is a 10-minute walk from Nicoll Highway MRT Station. The retro yet cosy ambience makes for a perfect spot for a chill hangout over delicious drinks.

In related news, Blue Bottle Coffee is now open in Singapore with their famous coffee and wallet-friendly artisan French pastries. McDonald’s cotton candy soft serve is available for a limited time, so grab one before it runs out!
