If you’ve been on FoodTok recently, you’ve probably heard all about the hype surrounding the Hong Qi Peach and Mango Ice Cream. Priced at $5 each, these viral treats are available at a 7-Eleven near you.Â
We decided to put these TikTok-famous ice creams to the test to see if they live up to the hype.
On our first bite of the “mango”, it surprised us with its fragrance and sweet goodness, which was remarkably similar to real mangoes. A hint of tanginess rounded out this pleasant treat.Â
The “peach” was equally aromatic but slightly sweeter than the mango; nevertheless, its layered flavour profile mirrored that of the mango ice cream.Â
While both flavours are undeniably sweet—so much so that they can become a bit jelak after a few bites. However, if you’re craving something indulgently sweet for dessert, these ice creams are definitely worth a try!
