Oyster lovers, you’ll want in on this: Humpback, a popular bistro in Tanjong Pagar, is rolling out its very own Oyster Polling Day in light of Singapore’s 14th General Election, presenting diners a fun way to “vote” for their favourite oyster, all while enjoying each piece from just $2++. FYI, Humpback’s Oyster Polling Day will take place on 3 May 2025, from 12pm to 11pm.

On 3 May, each diner gets a ballot-themed order sheet to cast votes for their favourite oyster. Each oyster ordered counts as a vote.

The number of votes will be tallied throughout the day and updated hourly via an Oyster Polling Board, and at the end of the day, one oyster champion will claim victory.

More details on the featured oyster varieties will be announced closer to the polling date. For now, you can expect some regulars on Humpback’s daily menu, including the Brisco Point and Pacific from Washington, Huitre De Celine from France, and Donegal from Ireland, the latter known for its meaty texture and briny taste.

During this deal, all oysters are sold for $3++, except the Brisco Point, which is sold for $2++ per piece, a third of its original price.

Oysters aside, opt for the Fingering Potatoes ($17++), served with smoked duck bits and a zesty yuzu cream that cuts through any heavy flavours. Otherwise, the Hispi Cabbage ($17++) stars chives, Asiago cheese, glazed baby anchovies, and a savoury anchovy gochujang sauce drizzled atop baked cabbage.

Round off your meal with the lesser-seen Hojicha Tiramisu ($14+), a rich and nutty twist to the classic Italian dolce. Alternatively, a creamy Castella Cake ($12++), which is served with cream cheese ice cream, is also available.

Humpback is a short 10-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, so quickly mark your calendars for 3 May and book a timeslot for your visit before the oysters run out!
