Icebar Opens At GR.ID Mall, Has Gelato And Waffles Till 2am

Icebar gelato at Dhoby Ghaut

If you are looking for desserts after a night of drinks in town, look no further than Icebar. Recently opened at the revitalised GR.iD mall, the gelato cafe operates until 11pm on weekdays and 2am on Fridays to Sundays.

Decked in neon lights just like its other outlet in Hougang, Icebar is Instagram-worthy as usual. Take your photos in front of the ones designed to resemble poker cards, which read “handsome man” and “pretty lady” in Chinese, or at the nearby mahjong tile-lights.

With purchases above $15, diners can redeem free tokens to try their hand at the line of claw machines here. Be sure to flex your soft toy, if you happen to score one at the claw machines.

Expect new flavours of gelato at Icebar GR.iD such as Grape Yakult, which is said to be fruity and light on the palate. Alternatively, try the Wang Zai Milk, made with the nostalgic childhood Want Want Milk biscuits. The gelato here is priced at $4.50 for a single Classic scoop, $5.50 for Premium, and $6.50 for Super Premium.

Although the menu of 16 flavours rotates regularly, check out the White Chrysanthemum With Goji Berries ($4.50) for a sweet, floral treat whenever it’s available. You can also ask the friendly staff for dairy-free recommendations if you’re vegan.

If you prefer something with caffeine, try Icebar’s Tiramisu and Uji Matcha. The former marries rich mascarpone cheese with espresso, while the latter carries an earthy bitterness. Have these atop a Waffle to complete your dessert. Whether you opt for the Original ($5.80) or the Charcoal ($6.90), you’re sure to enjoy its crispy exterior!

If you’re a student at Kaplan, SMU, SOTA, Lasalle, and NAFA, you’ll be able to enjoy an exclusive 20% off when you flash your student card! Students from other educational institutions are entitled to a 10% discount too.

For an affordable sashimi dinner, head over to Ganko Sushi, or swing by Mama Diam for pre-dessert cocktails!
