IKEA’s New Menu Has Salted Egg Chicken Wings, A Crayfish Platter And More

The new menu runs from 7 September

Ever since IKEA’s restaurants reopened at the end of June, we’ve been gorging on their meatballs whenever we can. We’d missed them so much we even made our own during the Circuit Breaker. If you needed a better excuse to head there again, the IKEA Salted Egg Chicken Wings have arrived.

This year, the IKEA Salted Egg Chicken Wings are part of a wider new menu that the furniture giant is introducing in their cafe for a limited time. At $9.50 for 6 whole wings, it’s pretty good value, costing just a little bit more than the $8.50 for 6 of their Regular Wings. IKEA prides itself on using only meat from indoor cage-free chickens, which gives you all the more reason to love their chicken wings.

Other than the Salted Egg Chicken Wings, IKEA is also introducing a Breaded Chicken Cutlet With Salted Egg Sauce ($8.90), which we think was created specially for those of you who don’t like to deal with bones and love extra gravy with your food. This comes with a side of fries, so you can also have salted egg fries with your meal.

IKEA’s new menu also features Vegetable Balls With Curry Coconut Sauce ($5), which gets you a side of boiled vegetables, potato curry and 8 vegetable balls. If you are familiar with their current menu, they used to be served as part of their Vegetable Balls With Couscous And Sour Cream ($6.50).

Seafood lovers can also go for the Crayfish In Dill Brine ($5), which we think sounds like a sweet and refreshing crustaceous change from their permanent Cold Water Prawns ($4.50), which are sustainably-fished.

The Salted Egg Chicken Wings and Breaded Chicken Cutlet With Salted Egg Sauce are available from 7 September to 30 November 2020, while the Vegetable Balls With Curry Coconut Sauce and new Kids Meal will be on the menu from 1 September to 31 December 2020. The Crayfish In Dill Brine will only be available from 1 September to 30 September 2020.

For other new launches, check out Springleaf Prata Place’s new German Curry Sausage Prata, and McDonald’s Scrambled Egg Burgers! KOI’s Biscuit Milk Tea will also be available in selected outlets starting Monday 7 September 2020.
