Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant Has Unique CNY Dishes—Bird’s Nest Lobster Yusheng, Plant-Based Pencai

Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant has unique reunion dinner takeaways

Pencai, Buddha Jumps Over The Wall, and yusheng are three signature dishes that define Chinese New Year reunion dinners, but let’s face it: all of these are painstaking to prepare, and are best left to the experts. With Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant, your reunion dinner is in good hands as the famed Cantonese hotel restaurant has you covered with all three dishes done right.

Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant is popular for their authentic Cantonese cuisine, and they’re pulling out all the stops this Chinese New Year with handcrafted festive goodies that are bound to please the fam. They have a range of ready-to-eat dishes that save you the fuss of cooking, so you can spend more time on the eve of Chinese New Year with the people you love, instead of being sequestered in the kitchen.

Start your reunion meal on a high note by lo hei-ing with the restaurant’s luxurious Bird’s Nest and Lobster Yu Sheng Platter.

Available in two sizes, the yusheng is priced at $298+ or $338+. Both come with fresh shredded vegetables, as well as premium sliced lobster, and bird’s nest slivers, all to be tossed in their sweet-sour plum sauce.

This is definitely a level up from the usual salmon sashimi slices—the lobster brings a sweetness to the overall dish, while the bird’s nest adds a light bite to the salad.

The Buddha Jumps Over The Wall with 6-head Abalone ($628+) is another must-have. Buddha Jumps Over The Wall is a soup that signifies long life and good fortune, and Li Bai’s version symbolises those blessings with ingredients such as mushrooms, ginseng, chicken, dried scallops, fish maw, and a generous serving of six-head abalone.

The soup is richly flavoured, full of different textures from the variety of seafood items within.

Pencai is another must-have, and we suggest trying their OmniMeat Fortune Pot ($338+). This meat-free take on pencai comes with a selection of plant-based “meats”, including OmniMeat Luncheon and Omni Tindle, as well as an assortment of mushrooms and root vegetables.

Hearty and comforting, you won’t miss having meat or seafood in your pencai at all. Plus, this is an excellent option for vegetarians and vegans.

Finally, if you’re looking for small bites to have at your CNY meal or for guests to nibble on during bai nian, order the Radish Cake with Conpoy and Preserved Meat ($68+). The dense radish cake is packed with umami thanks to the presence of dried scallops and prawns, lightly sweetened with Chinese sausage.

Apart from the dishes mentioned above, Sheraton Towers has a wide variety of other sweet and savoury CNY dishes to order for your reunion dinner and festive gatherings, including nian gao, suckling pig and plenty more.

Order their CNY goodies for takeaway from now till 5 February 2023 and enjoy 15% off your meal with a Citibank, DBS, HSBC, OCBC or UOB card. Make sure you place your order three days in advance before your planned pick-up date.
