Louis Vuitton x Murakami Pop-Up Cafe Opens In Joo Chiat

Louis Vuitton x Murakami pop-up in Singapore till 19 Jan 2025

Luxury brands are on to something—we’ve had the Dior Beauty Cafe & Pop-up during Christmas, which was quickly followed by the opening of Prada Cafe at ION Orchard.  This time round, Louis Vuitton has collaborated with famous Japanese contemporary artist Murakami to launch a creative lineup of bags, scents, accessories and more. What makes the pop-up more interesting is that there’s a mini cafe within the store! FYI, the pop-up will only be around till 19 January 2025.

It’s easy to spot the building even from afar thanks to the grand exterior that’s adorned with Murakami’s iconic flowers and the huge Louis Vuitton logo.

Once you enter the premises, you’re immediately greeted with a display of limited-edition bags and accessories that are part of the Louis Vuitton x Murakami collab.

There’s even a zone where you can get your Louis Vuitton x Murakami item repaired or cleaned. Here’s a tip: this service is free, and all you have to do is bring your items for some repainting work and metal cleaning.

Our motive for the visit, though, was to check out the cafe. It’s not spacious, and can probably house about 20 people at once, both seated and standing.

But it’s quite a stunning space—we loved the look of the baby pink walls and skylight windows that featured the iconic LV monogram. Murakami’s flower cushions would look extra nice in your IG photos, too.

Here, you’ll find five beverages, including Coconut Latte ($13.50), Cherry Plum ($13.50), and Butterfly Lemonade ($12.50).

Priced at $12.50, their Iced Black was the most expensive coffee we’ve ever had. The price was sort of justified though; the coffee was rich and robust, and you got a free Murakami flower-shaped cookie too.

Matcha lovers will love this cookie; the earthy and grassy notes of matcha were intense and paired exceptionally well with our iced black.

The pop-up is here for a good time and not a long time. Head down before 19 January 2025 to experience a dreamy world of luxurious goods, a pretty cafe ambience, and a good cuppa coffee.

If you want to avoid the snaking queue, we encourage you to stand in line before the store opens. Else, you might have to wait for an hour or two!

For more places to check out in the area, read our Katong food guide. There’s also Big Short Coffee, a cool coffee bar with warabimochi espresso and more.
