New in: McDonald’s Purple Sweet Potato Soft Serve will make a comeback on 28 March 2024, from 11am onwards! The fast food giant recently teased the return of the fan favourite ice cream flavour in an Instagram post.

In case you didn’t know, this purple ice cream was first launched in May 2019, and served in a waffle cone. It then made a return  as a limited-time item in 2020, before it was taken off the menu—until this year. This is great news for sweet potato fans, as the unique soft serve flavour will be back again after four years!

The purple sweet potato soft serve is said to be creamy and smooth, tinted with a pretty lilac shade that’s worthy for the gram.

We’re not sure if the charcoal waffle cone will also be available, but we will update this article once we get more information. In the meantime, mark your calendar for 28 March and try the popular flavour before it runs out!

In related news, McDonald’s Sweet Paprika Chicken McCrispy is also back for a limited time only! Get it as an Extra Value Meal, priced from $9.05. There’s also a Sweet Paprika Chicken Burger, which you can enjoy as part of an Extra Value Meal from $8.70. The latter stars McDonald’s signature Sweet Paprika fried chicken patty sandwiched by cajun mayo and shredded lettuce.

If you’re looking for a McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets dupe, consider FreezePak, which we’ve ranked in our best airfryer frozen nuggets listicle. The brand shot to fame during the Circuit Breaker for being almost identical to the ones at McDonald’s.
