With National Day just around the corner, Old Chang Kee will be celebrating Singapore’s 55th birthday with a new lineup. Our favourite local hot snacks brand has always been actively participating in NDP for more than a decade, and this year is no exception. They will be launching a limited-edition series, featuring four different flavours that represent our racial diversity to advocate togetherness and unity.

From 2 to 9 August, Old Chang Kee will kick off this series with the Chilli Crab’O puff, clad in a red and white exterior that resembles the national flag. Inspired by our nation’s iconic chilli crab dish, this pastry is filled with a tangy chilli crab sauce that’s accompanied with real crab meat.

From 10 to 16 August, they will turn a traditional Malay dish into a puff with their Rendang Chicken’O. You can get your hands on this green puff, which has a chicken and potato filling flavoured with their special rendang spices.

The Butter Chicken’O puff has chicken, onion and potato drenched in a velvety, spicy gravy. If you enjoy rich flavours and fragrant Indian spices like me, you can get this from 17 to 23 August.

The Chicken Stew’O will conclude this NDP pastry series, from 24 to 30 August. This pastry has a creamy white sauce filling with chicken, carrot, peas and potato, encased in a charcoal exterior.

Each puff above is priced at $2, and will be available at all Old Chang Kee stores and delivery platforms for a limited time only.

If you’re keen on group catering, they will be offering National Day catering packages for you to feast with your family or friends. Apart from this, affiliated brands, such as Curry Times, O’My Kampong and Dip ‘N’ Go, will also be rolling out a special menu that showcases local flavours in commemoration of our nation’s birthday.
