Aussie-Famous OMG Decadent Donuts Opens At Margaret Drive

OMG Decadent Donuts opens at Margaret Drive

If you live near Margaret Drive, you may have seen a new addition to your hood: OMG Decadent Donuts. The famous Australian doughnut chain has opened in Margaret Market, sharing a small dine-in space with homegrown cafe Brash Boys Coffee.

Originating from Brisbane, the artisanal doughnut shop currently has over 70 outlets across Australia. The popular brand has also won multiple accolades, including the Best Gourmet Donut Award at the Baking Association of Australia, Excellence in Baking Awards in 2024.

Their doughnuts are all freshly fried and prepared to order, with all their sugar dustings made with real fruits. There are 12 flavours on offer, priced at $3.75 per piece, $11 for three, $22 for six, and $42 for 12. If you prefer your doughnuts plain, get the Rudie Nudie ($3.50), which comes without any topping.

The Kopi ($3.75) flavour was our unanimous favourite. It had a bold, aromatic coffee taste with a bittersweet flavour that reminded us of Kopi C.

Texture-wise, all the doughnuts were light and fluffy, with soft centres and a slight bounce on the outside. They were not too dense, making them pleasant and easy to eat.

The Shiok Mint Choc ($3.75) was our second favourite. It had a refreshing burst of mint that complemented the rich cocoa notes—think mint chocolate chip ice cream in doughnut form.

Otherwise, consider Chai Spice ($3.75) if you’d like something comforting for the rainy weather. This doughnut features a blend of spices—think ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper—for a warm and aromatic flavour.

For something interesting, go for the Berry Sinful ($3.75), made with raspberries, cacao, chilli, and sea salt. The sweet, fruity berry notes paired well with the bittersweet cacao, while the hint of chilli note added a subtle heat to the dessert.

The Spiced Beet & Ginger ($3.75) doughnut was another unique pick, comprising earthy beetroot spiked with cinnamon and ginger.

If you’re visiting soon, be sure to check out the Pine Lime ($3.75) flavour, a September-exclusive comprising sweet pineapple and tangy lime. We enjoyed the bright and zesty flavour combination!

You can also get their doughnuts in the form of Bites, priced at $6 for six plain balls, and $7 for six flavoured ones.

While you’re there, check out Brash Boys Coffee’s drinks, perfect for pairing with your sweet treats. Their Iced White ($7.90) features frozen cold brew coffee cubes paired with milk for a creamy and strong brew. The Iced Strawberry Matcha ($7.90) is equally delicious, comprising earthy matcha with crushed strawberries.

OMG Decadent Donuts is a five-minute walk from Queenstown MRT Station. There are limited seats at the counter, though you can also snag a table at the shared dining area outside.
