3 Viral TikTok One-Cup Breakfast Recipes Including Lava Biscoff Baked Oats And More

Easy one-cup breakfast recipes for early mornings

If you haven’t downloaded the greatest social media platform of all time, AKA TikTok, you are really missing out. This booming mobile app holds a wealth of creative dishes whipped up by pro chefs, humble home cooks, and even experimental kitchen noobs, all showcasing fool-proof and delicious recipes.

I’ve recreated a few of my favourite one-cup breakfast recipes that have blown up on TikTok, using ingredients available on pandamart, which delivers to your doorstep in as fast as 30 minutes. They are available 24/7, so whether it’s a quick brekkie or a last-minute supper, you’re well covered!

1. Lava Biscoff Baked Oats

One-cup baked oats videos have taken TikTok by storm in different shapes and forms, from those with luscious liquid centres to those covered in a chocolate shell you could break with a spoon.

As the ultimate Biscoff-lover, I set my eyes on this Lava Biscoff Baked Oats recipe that is easily cooked up in one and a half minutes using the microwave.

Instead of lugging a bag of rolled oats from the supermarket home, you can order a promo pack of Quaker Rolled Oats refills from pandamart to blitz up a huge jar of oat flour, then use this to make baked oats at home every day. While this step is optional, using oat flour instead of rolled oats will give your baked oats a more cake-like consistency.

To save even more time, I’ve replaced yoghurt and sweetener from the original recipe with just a dollop of Danone Ultimate Yoghurt – Honey. Mix it up with equal parts oats, milk, and baking powder and you’re good to go.

For that lava aesthetic, add a scoop of Lotus Biscoff Smooth Biscuit Spread, which will melt into a gooey centre after baking the cup in the microwave.

Yield: Serves 1
Cooking time: 1.5 minutes

Ingredients:
40g oat flour
40g Danone Ultimate Yoghurt – Honey
½ tsp baking powder
80ml milk
1 tbsp Lotus Biscoff Smooth Biscuit Spread
1 tbsp Lotus Biscoff Original Caramelized Biscuits, crushed

Directions:

  1. Combine oat flour, Danone Ultimate Yoghurt – Honey, baking powder, milk into a ramekin and mix well.
  2. Add a spoonful of Lotus Biscoff Smooth Biscuit Spread into the centre, and cook in the microwave for 60 seconds, followed by 30 seconds.
  3. Garnish with crushed Lotus Biscoff Original Caramelized Biscuits.

2. Cheesy Air Fryer Hasselback Potato

This Cheesy Air Fryer Hasselback Potato is easily enjoyed with just a spoon as a quick and savoury brekkie. Grab a decently sized potato, give it a good rinse, make some cuts three-quarters of the way through, and stuff it with aromatics such as garlic and other herbs.

Here’s a slicing tip to recreate the thin cuts that are characteristic of a Hasselback potato! Place chopsticks on each side of the potato to stop the knife from cutting all the way through.

These wedges now act as pockets that you can fill with minced garlic, smoked paprika, and butter. I’ve levelled the recipe up by using SCS Spreadable Butter Rosemary Herb instead of plain unsalted butter, adding an extra depth of flavour to each bite of the potato.

Brush the flavoured butter thoroughly in between the gaps of the potato and pop it in the air fryer to cook once through for 10 minutes at 200°C.

Once done, embellish and flavour it even more with pieces of Emborg Natural Cheddar Sliced Cheese and cook it for another 10 minutes. This step, though optional, adds a much-appreciated oomph to kickstart the day on a savoury note.

Yield: Serves 1
Cooking time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
1 piece of potato, thoroughly washed
1 tbsp SCS Spreadable Butter Rosemary Herb
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika powder
Emborg Natural Cheddar Sliced
Parsley, minced

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
  2. Make thin cuts into a thoroughly washed potato.
  3. Combine SCS Spreadable Butter Rosemary Herb, minced garlic, as well as paprika powder and mix well.
  4. Brush the potato with the butter mixture and cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 200°C.
  5. Add Emborg Natural Cheddar into the cuts and cook for another 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with minced parsley and serve hot.

3. Air Fryer Egg Cup

Egg cups aren’t a brand new discovery, but the Air Fryer Egg Cup is well-received on TikTok as it incorporates life’s trendiest cooking hack—the air fryer, duh! This one-cup breakfast recipe shaves off a good amount of cooking and cleaning time, ensuring a quick yet nutritious breakfast.

Eggs are a breakfast essential for many. This recipe calls for two, but feel free to add more for a heartier first meal of the day. Along with it are chopped sausages and a medley of vegetables such as diced bell peppers, Brightfields Cherry Tomatoes, and The Silly Greens Red Spinach for added antioxidants and iron.

In a buttered cup or ramekin, combine all ingredients and give it a good whisk.

Of course, I couldn’t help but dress up the humble egg cup with some Arla Tex-Mex Shredded Cheese that’s infused with a combination of fragrant herbs and spices. Spamming a handful not only added a touch of saltiness but also a kick of mild heat too.

Blast it up in a preheated air fryer at 200°C for just 10 minutes and voila, breakfast is served.

Yield: Serves 1
Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
2 eggs
½ tbsp bell peppers, diced
½ tbsp Brightfields Cherry Tomatoes, diced
The Silly Greens Red Spinach, chopped
2 tbsp Arla Tex-Mex Shredded Cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
  2. In a buttered ramekin, add eggs, bell peppers, Brightfields Cherry Tomatoes, The Silly Greens Red Spinach, Arla Tex-Mex Shredded Cheese, and whisk till well combined.
  3. Cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 200°C and serve immediately.
