Singapore is full of supper spots, especially mamak eateries serving up prata and other classic Indian-Muslim dishes. Roti Prata House, located along Upper Thomson Road, is one of these eateries. They’re well known for being open till 4am on the weekends and 2am on weekdays, and for serving one of the most extensive prata menus around.Â

At last count, they have over 20 different prata offerings, ranging from classic prata, to prata bomb, coin prata, tissue, and plaster prata. Aside from classic toppings such as egg, mushroom, and cheese, Roti Prata House offers unconventional additions for the adventurous—think chicken floss, pineapple, mixed fruit, and even durian.

Prices start from $0.90 for their classic plain Crispy Prata, and go up to $6 for special combos. We recommend trying their Coin Prata or their Prata Bomb. Prices differ depending on the toppings, but both are touted for their ultra-crispy exterior and fluffy insides, and for being not too oily.

Aside from their extensive selection of prata dishes, you can also get a variety of Maggi or Mee Goreng (from $3.50), Nasi Goreng (from $3.50), and Nasi Briyani (from $5.50) should you want a more substantial meal.
Roti Prata House is also known for their equally inventive Murtabak selection (from $7), where you can get fillings such as tuna, sardine, mutton, and chicken. If you’re feeling extra peckish, get their Combo Pizza Mutton (from $12), which feeds two, and is filled with added cheese, atop a spiced, tomatoey mutton medley.

No prata supper is complete without drinks, so quench your thirst with a drink from their sprawling menu. Both hot and cold options are available, with prices starting at $1 for Teh Tarik.
