This Work-Friendly Cafe In Bali Has $4.50 Brunch Sets And Biscoff Lattes

Sari Kitchen in Canggu Bali has affordable brunch sets

Canggu is the definition of a cafe haven—it’s almost impossible to walk more than 500m without bumping into a super chio cafe. Out of all the gorgeous cafes I’ve visited here, my favourite by far is Sari Kitchen, which is located just a stone’s throw away from Canggu Beach.

The work-friendly cafe spans three storeys, complete with reading nooks and cosy corners for you to spend the day working away. You can also choose to sit at the long tables at level two, alongside other fellow digital nomads, and maybe make some new friends!

In the food department, the cafe has brunch sets from only IDR50K (~S$4.48). Think hearty burgers, loaded sandwiches, tacos, Japanese rice bowls, and cheese toasts. You’ll also get to pick your choice of complimentary coffee, tea, or juice to go with your meal.

I went for the Chicken Teriyaki (IDR80K/~S$7.18), which features a fusion-style salad packed with roasted baby potatoes, red cabbage, onions, and lettuce, dressed with teriyaki sauce. As for my complimentary drink, I chose the refreshing Butterfly Pea Tea.

The chicken was tender and succulent, while the sweet teriyaki sauce added a delightful umami note to each bite. I also liked the baby potatoes as they were super soft without being overly mushy. The sprinkle of salt on top complemented its buttery flavour, too.

The highlight of our meal was the Fettucine Pesto (IDR80K/~S$7.17), comprising a bowl of fettuccine coated in a pesto sauce, served with cashew nuts, cream cheese, and parmesan. It was also drizzled with a zesty orange dressing.

As someone who likes firmer pasta, I liked how the fettuccine was cooked to al dente. The pesto sauce had hints of nutty and garlicky flavours, balanced with a touch of saltiness from the cheese.

To end our meal, we ordered another drink—Biscoff Chocolate Coffee (IDR35K/~S$3.15). This espresso-based beverage features a mix of milk and cocoa and is topped with a Lotus Biscoff cookie. Rich, frothy, and creamy, the drink offered the dose of caffeine I needed after a heavy meal.
