Sengkang Square Has A Giant Pasar Malam With Over 40 Food Stalls Till 3 Dec

Sengkang Square has a new pasar malam till 3 December

Sengkang residents, heads up: Sengkang Square has a giant pasar malam with over 40 food stalls, from now till 3 December 2023! Located right outside Compass One, the night market also has plenty of seats, both indoor and outdoor, as well as carnival rides and games.

A must-try is ChubTuTu, known for their freshly made tutu kueh in an assortment of flavours. Noteworthy mentions include D24 Durian, Chilli Crab, and Salted Egg Custard, which fall under the premium category that’s priced at $5 for five.

They also have muah chee in lesser-seen flavours such as Matcha ($4) and Black Sesame ($4)!

For something savoury, head to Spuds Shack Express, a rosti specialty kiosk. Spuds Shack was previously a hawker stall before they closed their shutters and operated as pop-ups.

There’s the Classic Potato Rosti ($6.50) if you want something no-frills; otherwise, fancier flavours such as Torched Mentaiko ($8.50) and Spicy Mala ($7) are worth a shot.

While we were there, we also spotted a kiosk selling Taiwan Xi Men Mushroom Snacks, priced at $6 per serving. This savoury mushroom snack comes in flavours such as Seaweed, Lemon, Curry, and Mala.

Cool down from the heat with Bung! Lemon Tea‘s signature Bittergourd Lemon Tea ($3.50), a refreshingly tart and bittersweet beverage perfect for a humid afternoon. Otherwise, there’s also 555, which sells XXL Thai Milk Tea at $4.50 for a one-litre cup.

The pasar malam looks spacious and boasts plenty of tables, so you can easily snag a seat and enjoy your food comfortably.

During the evening when it’s breezier, chope one of the outdoor tables for the vibes.

If you’re taking the train, alight at Sengkang MRT Station. The bazaar is located in the field next to the station.

In related pasar malam news, there’s also a night bazaar in Tampines that’s ongoing till 30 November 2023. If you’re looking for more places to eat in the area instead, read our guide to the best food in Sengkang.
