This Great World Kiosk Has Crispy Fried Chicken, XL Cheese Sausage And More

Sky Sky Fried Chicken has crispy fried chicken at Great World

If you’re tired of the usual fried chicken chains in Singapore, check out Sky Sky Fried Chicken at Great World. This grab-and-go kiosk serves up all things chicken, from crispy chicken wings to battered chicken liver! There’s a variety of sides too, including XXL chicken sausage, coleslaw, and fries.

A popular item here is the Value Combo Meal ($12.80). Each set comes with two pieces of chicken, a tub of coleslaw, fries, and one soft drink of your choice.

There are two flavours of chicken to choose from: Original and Spicy. FYI, you can also request your preferred cut of meat at no additional cost.

You’ll see the fried chicken on display here, cooked to a golden brown that promises an ultra-crispy skin and juicy meat on the inside.

The Original is seasoned generously with salt, while the Spicy turns up the heat with a numbing spice blend. The former tastes like a cross between KFC’s Original Recipe chicken and the fried spring chicken commonly found at Western hawker stalls. The batter for both versions is light, letting the juicy, tender meat shine through.

The coleslaw paired well with the Spicy chicken, lending a refreshing break between fiery bites.

If you’re coming with a friend, we recommend getting the Buddy Buddy Meal ($33.60) instead.

The Buddy Buddy meal comes with five pieces of chicken, two regular coleslaws, a large cheese fries, and two drinks.

The cheese is served separately from the fries to ensure they stay nice and crisp. We enjoyed the creamy cheese dip, which reminded us of a classic nacho cheese sauce.

Don’t miss out on their unique selection of sides, including the Chicken Sausage ($3.50 for two) and Chicken Liver ($3.50 for six).

The XXL Chicken Sausage was juicy, tender, and loaded with a gooey cheese filling.

If you’re a fan of offal, get the Chicken Liver. Every piece is coated in a crispy batter, complementing the soft, and not overly powdery, liver within.

They also offer a range of rice meals, such as the Chicken Cutlet Rice ($6.80), which pairs a crispy chicken cutlet with flavoured rice, fresh cucumber slices, and tomato.

The rice meals were unfortunately sold out when we visited. Seeing how popular they are, we’d definitely try them on our next visit!

Sky Sky Fried Chicken is located in the basement of Great World, a stone’s throw away from Great World MRT Station. Do note that there are no dine-in seats, as they operate as a grab-and-go kiosk. There are, however, a few tables in the mall’s common dining area, right beside the stall.

For more chicken-related content, check out our coverage on KFC’s upcoming Butterbear collab, featuring cute limited-edition blindboxes, collectables, and the all-new Thai-Thai Saucy Chicken! Otherwise, read our Zion Riverside Food Centre guide for more great eats in the area.
