If you’re looking for a place to feed your stomach and soul, check out Soul Coffee, a whimsical-themed cafe hidden in KINEX. The cafe was founded by Hillary Phang, a Feng Shui Grand Master whose face you may recognise from the annual Chinese zodiac forecast videos shown during the Chinese New Year season.

Besides pizzas, lasagna, coffee, and cakes, the cafe also offers horoscope and tarot reading for diners who are curious about what the future holds.

As you step into Soul Coffee, you’ll be enchanted by panoramic projections depicting the four seasons, as well as an underwater background displayed on the wall. The entrance to the cafe features botanical decor with optical fibre lights dangling from the ceiling for a dreamy effect.

Don’t miss out on ordering a cup of joe while you’re here. The cafe has a selection of espresso-based drinks from $4.50, as well as Pourover Coffee by AI Barista ($10.90). Your drink is made by an AI humanoid hand robot named George Hillary, who grinds, brews, and pours your coffee. The impressive robot is even well-versed in English and Chinese!

If you’re big on all things astrology, you can order a cup of their Signature Horoscope Coffee ($9.90) and Signature Horoscope Mocktails ($8.50), which are all created in 12 different flavours according to the different horoscopes.

The horoscope coffees feature a blend of South America, Central America, and Sumatra beans, and come with different toppings and concoctions that are said to complement your personality.

Those who identify with the sign of the scales can try the purple-hued Libra Mocktail, starring aloe vera juice mixed with butterfly pea flower and wild mint. There’s also the Virgo, which consists of earl grey tea, elderflower, and apple juice.

For food, look forward to light bites such as Parmesan Cheese Fries ($11.80) and Crispy Onion Rings ($11.80). If you’re looking for something more substantial, there’s the Cajun Roast Chicken With Fries & Salad ($19.80) or Margherita Pizza ($20.80), which feeds up to four people.

Soul Coffee’s desserts are also a must-try. Choose from a dainty selection of mousse cakes from $8.90, such as the Chocolate Banana Dome, Wild Strawberry, and Yam Coconut Mousse.

Then, pop into the cafe’s hidden room for a private tarot card reading. At $68, you can ask one specific question about your life. Alternatively, go for the more affordable aura crystal reading at $38, where you’ll get a generic three-month forecast of your life. All readings come with a complimentary drink and cake.

As walk-ins for readings are subject to availability, do make a reservation in advance.
