We’re all about hunting down the best buffets in Singapore, so we knew we had to cover The Brunch Trolley at Summer Hill, a unique French brunch buffet served in a cart.
This all-you-can-eat brunch is available on weekends, 11:30am to 3pm. It’s held in Summer Hill, a cosy French bistro hidden in Claymore Connect— a small mall that’s on the quieter end of Orchard Road. Adults pay $69++ per person while children under the age of 12 pay $25++ each.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with interiors that scream rustic cottagecore, complete with quirky additions of tropical-themed elements.
On top of a plethora of homely French plates, diners get to enjoy free-flow iced tea, too! There’s also the option to top up $69++ for unlimited glasses of prosecco, as well as red and white wine.
Dishes are served batch by batch, arriving at your table in a cute wooden trolley each time. You can order seconds and thirds, but you’re recommended to enjoy one round of each dish first, when the trolley reaches you.
Kickstart the feast with some White Clams Normandy, paired with slabs of sourdough—great for dunking into the flavourful white sauce.
We also enjoyed the Ham & Brie Sandwiches, stacked with layers of savoury ham, earthy brie, and tart jam to cut through the richness.
Then, carb up with a heaping plate of Duck Fat Fries, topped with sharp parmesan shavings for the ultimate indulgence.
Those who need their protein are not left out either. The Seabream w/ Sauce Vierge is a personal favourite; this comes with a generous slab of seabream topped with a tangy and refreshing sauce.
The fish was perfectly cooked, while the tomato chunks added a lovely acidity and brightness.
There’s also the Classic Roast Chicken, where Sakura chickens from Malaysia are used for their premium flavour and texture.
Then, load up on your greens with some Brussel Sprouts Amandine, tossed in buttered almonds for an added crunch.
Round up the feast with the Braised Lamb Shoulder Dipper: pulled lamb shoulder with creamy avocado, tucked between two toasted buns, served with gravy for dunking.
Any buffet is incomplete without the sweets, so there’s also a dessert trolley served at the end of your meal! Highlights include Pear Frangipane Tart and Warm Banana Bread w/ Salted Rum Caramel.
There’s also a DIY Snow Cone Bar for kids and those young at heart to create their own icy treat.
Make sure you reserve a table in advance, as this brunch trolley buffet seems to be rather popular despite being a new launch—Easter brunch slots are almost booked out!
