Swee Choon Dim Sum Opens Cloud Kitchen In Tampines, With Dine-In Available Too

Swee Choon in Tampines

East-siders, here’s more reason to flex that you live in the best side of Singapore as heritage dim sum restaurant, Swee Choon Dim Sum, is opening in Tampines.

Swee Choon’s flagship outlet in Jalan Besar is a dim sum legend, serving up their popular liu sha bao, carrot cakes, and other handmade treats till 3am night after night. The brand has been around since 1962, and has grown from strength to strength, expanding to take over their neighbouring outlets. Now, they’re ready to dominate the east with their newfound presence in Tampines Food Co., a cloud kitchen concept.

Located at 10 Tampines North Drive 4, Swee Choon Tampines primarily functions as a kitchen to give Eastsiders delivery and takeaway access to Swee Choon’s menu at a cheaper price point than their islandwide service. This explains the industrial address. However, the cloud kitchen also has a 60-seater dining area, so if you live nearby, you can easily pop by to have your dim sum fix. Just bear in mind that orders have to be done via the delivery platform app of your choice, but you can pick-up and dine on the spot.

Otherwise, you can enjoy Swee Choon Dim Sum, with prices starting from just $5.90 for set meals, on delivery platforms like GrabFood, foodpanda, and Deliveroo. Currently, the eatery is offering free delivery with a minimum spend of $25, which is not hard to hit considering the array of options you get to choose from.

There will also be Tampines exclusives available. The first is the Steamed Dim Sum Platter ($11.90), with two har gao, two siew mai, two salted egg yolk bao, and two char siew bao. There is also the more sinful Hong Kong Fried Dim Sum Platter ($12.90), with eight items including fried prawn dumplings, spring rolls, and carrot cake.

For more dim sum options, Beng Hiang Restaurant has recently made their weekday buffet permanent, so you can get all-you-can-eat dim sum for just $22.80++. If you’re on a budget, you can consider Kuai San Dian Xian, a dim sum joint in Ang Mo Kio with dishes going for just $1.30 each.

Address: 10 Tampines North Drive 4, #01-05 JTC Space, Singapore 528553
