Get TikTok-Viral Creme Croissants From New York City At This Botanic Gardens Bakery

Swish Rolls sells creme croissants from NYC in Singapore

New Yorkers—and subsequently TikTok—went wild for the creme croissants that Lafayette Grand Cafe & Bakery began baking earlier this year. Instead of flying 18 and a half hours across the planet to get your hands on some, pop over to Cluny Court at Botanic Gardens MRT Station instead, because they’re now baking at local bakery Swish Rolls!

In case you’re just getting caught up on the trend, the viral Crème Suprêmes only debuted in April this year, attracting so much attention that the French bakery in New York City started seeing hours-long queues even before they opened each day. They’re so highly sought after, that each customer is only allowed to buy one.

In essence, it’s a circular croissant that is made over a process of three days; it’s filled with assorted creme fillings, topped with ganache, and finished with crumbly bits—classic and seasonal flavours here include Corn Berry, Pain au Chocolat, Rose Berry Spritz, and even a Peaches N’ Crème.

Here in Singapore, Swish Rolls is the answer to your FOMO-ing, having launched their very own version called the Croon just last weekend.

They’re available in five flavours, including a savoury Ham ‘N Cheeze ($5.80) that stars turkey ham with bechamel sauce, mozzarella, and cheddar.

More exciting are the sweet variants, which include Loaded Pistachio, Deep Dark Valrhona Chocolate, and Super Summer Berries. Each of these filled croissants is priced at $5.80, and you can preorder them on the Swish Rolls website for delivery or self-pick-up at the store.

We loved the Deep Dark Valrhona Chocolate, bursting with a dark chocolate creme centre, and topped with sea salt. For something brighter in flavour, Super Summer Berries features a creme of strawberries, raspberries, and a touch of lemon. If you’re just here for the croissant, they’ve got a Crackly Sea Salt Butter ($3.80) too, lightly glazed with syrup.

While you’re at Cluny Court, consider checking out our list of what to eat at Botanic Gardens. Alternatively, head up to the Cluny Food Court for Mui Kee Porridge and more.
