Tenkaichi Has $10 Nett Bara Chirashi, Mentaiko And Cheesy Teriyaki Don During Lunch In Town

Tenkaichi lunch promotion gets you $10 rice bowls

There’s nothing better than sniffing out a great bargain. From $12 for 12 pieces of KFC to $1 GrabFood Deals, you can count on us to find the best food promotions in Singapore.

Deal hunters will be rubbing their hands in glee this time because Tenkaichi is having a special donburi promotion. Available only on weekdays from 12pm to 2:30pm, all their donburi dishes are going at $10 nett.

There are quite a few exciting options to choose from, with six different rice bowls that also come with a complimentary soft drink. These rice bowls are only available during weekday lunch hours at the Japanese BBQ restaurant.

Each rice bowl is carefully decorated with a kaleidoscope of colours that looks great for the camera. Shake Genki Don ($10) lets you choose between salmon and tuna. We went for the salmon and weren’t let down by the generous portions.

This bara chirashi don also comes with tobiko, ikura, shredded crab sticks, and tamago, all served on a bed of tasty vinegared rice. At $10, it’s hard to find another deal that packs such great value.

The Cheesy Chicken Teriyaki Don ($10) was my favourite out of the lot. Huge chunks of chicken thigh are marinated with teriyaki sauce before being grilled to a crisp. The dish is then finished with a generous drizzle of cheese and mayonnaise.

I liked how the teriyaki marinade penetrated through the chicken, resulting in loads of flavour with every bite. The crispy chicken skin also came with a nice layer of fat that gave a good variety of textures when eaten with the juicy meat.

Scallop and mentaiko lovers will definitely fall in love with the Hotate Mentai Mayo Don ($10). Grilled scallops are diced before being smeared with cod roe mayo, and then blowtorched to meld everything together.

The mentaiko had a good char and pleasant brininess when combined with the grilled scallops. Mixed with rice, this decadent combination ought to please anyone with its creamy and umamilicious flavours.

We visited their Marina Square outlet and were impressed with the comfortable ambience. The restaurant also comes with an expansive view of the Singapore skyline, making it an ideal place to chill in the afternoon.

It’s hard to believe that such a good bargain can be found in town at just $10. With outlets at Cineleisure Orchard and Marina Square, we can expect long queues once word gets out of Tenkaichi’s weekday lunchtime donburi promotion.

If you’re in the mood for affordable donburi, be sure to check out Chirashi King Kong which is located just next door at Millenia Walk, and the Muslim-owned Big Bowls Project!
