Uncle Tony’s Tuckshop Sells Old-School Ondeh Ondeh Waffles In Sengkang

Uncle Tony’s Tuckshop waffles

Old school waffles from a local bakery is a snack that’s hard to beat. If you live in Sengkang, get your fix from Uncle Tony’s Tuckshop, a hole-in-the-wall eatery that has made a name for itself with their waffles. They even have unique flavours, such as ondeh ondeh and cream cheese.

Prices start at $1.70 for your standard fillings, including blueberry jam and kaya, then goes up to $3 for the more premium ondeh ondeh version. They’re halal-certified too.

The batter is aromatic thanks to the use of pandan. The waffles here are definitely of the crisp variety too, rather than the kueh-like version some are fans of. Still, the middle remains fluffy and light.

Their ondeh ondeh waffle comes generously sprinkled with grated coconut, then drizzled with gula melaka syrup for extra oomph. It almost tastes like an ondeh ondeh cake, albeit lighter.

Another indulgent flavour fans can try is their Cream Cheese ($3)—a sweet, savoury, and creamy combo.

For younger kids or those with a serious sweet tooth, Uncle Tony’s Tuckshop also has flavours such as Oreo Cheese ($3), Ham & Cheese ($3.50), and Chocolate Rainbow ($3). The latter is served with chocolate sauce and sprinkles.

There’s also a build-your-own waffle option if you prefer to mix and match toppings according to your own preferences.

Apart from their waffles, the eatery also has savoury snacks and mains, like chee cheong fun.

Uncle Tony’s Tuckshop is located in Sengkang Community Hub, just a quick walk from Compass One or Sengkang MRT Station.
