Freshly made chee cheong fun is the true definition of comfort food—these thin and silky rice rolls are deliciously savoury, yet light and easy to eat. If you frequent the CBD, and you love a good CCF, YinJi is one popular eatery to bookmark.

Hailing from Guangzhou, the chain is most known for their chee cheong fun, which is steamed to order. There’s the Char Siew Roll ($6.80), featuring thin rice sheets stuffed with sweet char siew and lettuce. Alternatively, go for the signature Fresh Prawn Egg ($8.30), sandwiching an omelette, fresh prawns and lettuce—almost like a complete meal!

Fans also love their Fried Dough Roll ($5.50) AKA zha leong, a popular dim sum item starring a chunky you tiao wrapped in a thin rice sheet. The chee cheong fun is said to be smooth and silky on the outside, contrasting well with the crispy deep-fried dough fritter.

Other popular mains include their Salted Pepper Chicken Chop Noodles ($7.80), starring thin egg noodles in a braising sauce, served with a slab of deep-fried chicken thigh. For something more comforting, there’s also the Boat Congee ($7.30), which comes with a treasure trove of toppings such as sliced fish and peanuts.

Yinji is located in Far East Square, which is right next to Telok Ayer MRT Station.
