Adding to the recent barrage of food deals that have come to sabotage our WFH workout bods, McDonald’s has announced a 1-for-1 promotion, this time, for their cheesecakes. The McCafe New York Cheesecake and OREO Cheesecake are now offered at discounted prices for you to grab and pair with a warm cup of McDonald’s coffee.

There wasn’t much buzz over these cheesecakes when they first came out in 2018, but I can imagine them being the next hottest item on the McCafe menu, at least up till the end of the month.
Judging by their appearance, the New York cheesecake looks like the classic creamy and smooth cheesecake filling set on a base of caramelised cookies. Their OREO cheesecake has a bit more embellishments with a cookies-and-cream cheesecake filling, OREO cookie chunks mixed into the batter, as well as a sprinkle of white chocolate chips on top. If you want to go all-in with the indulgence, I would recommend getting two slices of the latter.

You can redeem these indulgent slices at the McCafe counter in stores, using the McDonald’s App. You’ll have to make some effort for this one, since the promotion is only available for takeaways and drive-through orders. Thankfully, there’s no minimum order or time window for this deal, so you can pick them up any time of the day.
With Phase Two of the post-Circuit Breaker measures announced, dining in will be made possible very soon. You can bet I’ll be back in for a fresh cup of McCafe’s Mochaccino, a double chocolate muffin, and perhaps a cheesecake or two.
Check out more 1-for-1 promotions that are ongoing this month by Ippudo and Crystal Jade. Alternatively, make your own cheesecakes at home with these no-bake cake recipes.
