This highly rated spot proves that the East is truly the best side of Singapore, at least food-wise. Tucked away under a HDB block in Changi Village, 2 Chefs Too Many is a new, up-and-coming eatery serving up tasty Japanese dishes, from omu rice to udon. Better yet, they open till 11:30pm, making them a great option for supper!

A quick check online, and you’ll find that they’ve garnered a perfect 5-star rating on Google at the point of writing. That’s no small feat, especially for a spot that opened only in November last year.

There are three types of mains on the menu: grilled meat, udon, and their well-loved omu rice.

The star of the show has to be their signature Beef Hamburg Omu Rice ($14.90), starring fluffy, buttery short-grain Japanese rice, topped with a silky tornado egg omelette and an Angus beef patty, all doused in a sweet-savoury demi-glace and creamy white sauce.

Apart from the hefty portion sizes, many praise the hamburg patty for its juicy meat and slightly crisp, charred edges.

If you’re not in the mood for beef, you can also enjoy the same delicious omu rice with their crispy Ebi Fry ($11.90), Chicken Katsu ($10.90), or bite-sized Tori Karage ($10.90).

The Salmon Miso Udon ($10.90) is another favourite, raved about for its soft, flaky salmon, springy udon, and light, comforting miso broth.

Don’t miss out on their grilled meats, including their popular Rosemary Teri Salmon Steak ($18.90), featuring a grilled salmon fillet cooked in a rich and aromatic teriyaki rosemary sauce, topped with roasted garlic cloves, and served alongside sauteed veggies.

2 Chefs Too Many is located along Changi Village Road. While there aren’t any MRT stations nearby, it’s still easily accessible with a quick three-minute walk from Changi Village Bus Terminal.
