The much anticipated compilation of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018 has been released, and seven restaurants in Singapore have clinched a place in this world-renowned list. Out of the seven restaurants awarded, six of them are Michelin-star holders, with the only exception being Australian barbecue restaurant, Burnt Ends.

This year, one Singaporean restaurant made it to the top 10, and it’s none other than French fine-dining restaurant, Odette. Odette currently holds the esteemed title of Best Restaurant in Singapore.

The team behind two Michelin-starred restaurant Odette deserves much praise for their dedication to infusing art and beauty with food. Their continuous hard work have proven true, for Odette has been bumped up four places this year to number five, from its previous ranking of number nine on the 2017 list.

The other restaurants in Singapore on the 2018 list are: Burnt Ends (12th), Waku Ghin (23rd), Les Amis (29th), Corner House (36th), Jaan (44th), and Whitegrass (50th).

The list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants is put together by 300 restaurant industry experts all around Asia through a voting system. The awards ceremony took place in Bangkok, the host city for three years in a row now.
