It’s clear that we Singaporeans love our bread, judging by the sheer number of bakeries in Singapore. One that recently entered the scene is Bakery M, which recently opened its second outlet in the heart of the shopping district: Wisma Atria.

The under-the-radar bakery first launched at The Arcade at Raffles Place, selling a wide array of freshly baked buns at affordable prices.

Mochi fans can go for popular flavours such as Peanut Butter Mochi ($1.90) and Biscoff Caramel Mochi ($2.10), which feature handmade mochi tucked within soft and fluffy bread.

The bakery is also known for their UFO Tart ($2.60), a popular treat that originated in Sabah, Malaysia. This lesser-seen snack features a cake-like base topped with sweet meringue and custard.

If you prefer savoury bakes, go for their best-selling Mentaiko Japan ($3). Packed with umami from the creamy mentaiko sauce, the buttery shio pan-style bread is the perfect pick-me-up. Bakery M also has classics such as Ham and Cheese ($1.70) if you want something simpler.

We also spotted a fresh batch of Cinnamon Sugar Brioche (price TBC) on Bakery M’s IG page, which looks irresistible.

The new outlet is located at Basement 1 of the mall, which is right next to Orchard MRT Station.

For more bread content, head to The Hainan Story at Jewel where you’ll find freshly baked buns and cream horns.

If you’re looking for more food in Orchard, Ohayo Mama San in Somerset 313 offers an affordable high tea set at $19++ per person. For something more filling, read our Osteria Mozza review for award-winning Italian fare in the newly revamped Hilton Singapore Orchard!
