I’ve come across plenty of desserts that look too gorgeous to be destroyed, but stumbling upon these batik roll cakes on Instagram just took things to another level. Made by an online bakery called Batikrolls by Nura, these beautiful roll cakes come in six designs. Each cake is about 22cm long, and you can choose to have yours filled with Nutella, vanilla, or blueberry buttercream.
Here’s a video detailing how the batik design is created:
Be prepared to part with $26 or $28 – depending on design – for a cake. But looking at the amount of effort required to produce just the batik design itself, you can be sure it’s worth every penny.
They’re fully booked during the Hari Raya period, and will only accept orders from 17 July onwards. So mark your calendar if you want to sink your teeth into one of these gorgeous rolls! For more pretty pastries, check out these dessert tarts that look cute and taste good.
