Easties, take note: Bedok 85 pasar malam is open from now till 23 October 2022! At this night market, you can tuck into halal takoyaki, vadai, churros and more.

This news was first spotted by our colleague on a Singapore Atrium Sale Facebook post. The post stated that the pasar malam is located near Block 85 Bedok North Street 4, which is also near the famous Fengshan Food Centre.

A TikTok video showcasing one of the popular halal takoyaki stalls, De’Tako, has confirmed the location of the pasar malam.

De’Tako specialises in Japanese takoyaki with a unique twist: think takoyaki balls topped with mentaiko ($8), egg mayo ($7) and more. The stall also ran a seasonal laksa sauce in August, but we’re not sure if that’s also available at this pasar malam.

OG pasar malam fixture Loco Loco is also at the Bedok 85 pasar malam, so you can get your churros fix there. The menu includes Ondeh Ondeh Churros ($5), Oreo Churros ($5), and Chilli Crab Churros ($6). There’s also a classic flavour at $5 for the purists. Loco Loco is not halal-approved, but all the ingredients used are.

Halal-certified The Original Vadai, also known as The Vadai Shop, has a booth as well. Prices start at $1.20 for a Prawn Vadai and go up to $9 for the premium Crispy Giant Squid Vadai.

Other noteworthy street food mentions include Yok Makan for their Fried Oreos ($5) and Potato Twist ($4), as well as Golden Ball for their addictive sweet potato balls ($5)

The pasar malam is a short bus ride from Bedok or Bedok Reservoir MRT Station. It only runs from now till 23 October, so make sure you pop by to check out the other stalls!
