11 Best Murtabak Stalls To Satisfy Your Cravings, Including Ultimate Power Murtabak And More

Best murtabak in Singapore

While roti prata is highly regarded as one of Singapore’s beloved national dishes, murtabak is almost just as popular. For the uninitiated, it’s like prata, but stuffed with savoury minced meat and egg, served with curry gravy. There are also murtabak manis, though these are less commonly found here. Whichever it is you’re looking for, here’s our guide to 11 best murtabak stalls in Singapore

1. Julaiha Muslim Restaurant

11. Smile Murtabak

For those of us with a sweet tooth, there’s Smile Murtabak, which specialises in using premium ingredients to make sweet murtabak. Unlike the roti prata-like savoury versions, these sweet murtabak are more similar to min jiang kueh.

Try their Ondeh-Ondeh Special, where a thick pandan pancake is stuffed with palm sugar and coconut flakes. Alternatively, go for their Original Choco-Cheese, for pancake spread with melted chocolate and cheddar cheese. Both of these are now priced at $5.95 each (U.P. $7.45) for fun-sized portions.

For durian lovers, they also have Durian murtabak, with prices from $6.65 (U.P. $8.15) for a fun-sized portion. This murtabak stars creamy durian flesh, in your choice of D24 or Mao Shan Wang, sandwiched in a charcoal pancake.
