Burger King’s Portobello Mushroom Swiss Burger Returns With An Angus Beef Upgrade, Win Plushie Keychains Too

Burger King brings back their Portobello Mushroom Swiss Burger

Calling all mushroom lovers: Burger King’s popular Portobello Mushroom Swiss Burger is back! For a limited time only, diners can enjoy this fan favourite elevated in three different ways, as well as a new snack and dessert on the menu.

Plus, they’re launching a vending machine activation where you can nab a plushie keychain when you spend $20 at Burger King in a single receipt—but more on this later.

Burger King loyalists love the Portobello Mushroom Swiss Burger for its mouthwatering blend of beef, a whole portobello mushroom cap, and melted Swiss cheese, all nestled between buttery brioche buns

This comeback, though, Burger King is giving the burger an upgrade we didn’t know it needed but very much deserved: by beefing it up—literally—with a flame-grilled Angus beef patty.

Angus beef is prized for its superior marbling, meaning more tenderness and richer flavour. This premium cut delivers a more satisfying bite, taking the classic Portobello Mushroom Swiss combo to the next level. Have a napkin ready—this burger is thick and juicy.

Each burger is priced at $9.45 ala carte, or $10.95 for a meal with medium fries and a refreshing small green tea.

If you don’t take beef or just aren’t in the mood for red meat, don’t FOMO: Burger King has got you covered with two offerings in the same series.

First, the Portobello Mushroom Swiss Tendergrill Chicken ($8.45)

Here, a whole chicken fillet is flame-grilled to smoky ends, then layered with all the bells and whistles that make up the burger.

Want a top-tier start to your day? Swing by your nearest Burger King outlet for breakfast and order the Portobello Mushroom Swiss Turkey Ham Croissan’wich ($5.40)

The croissant adds a buttery touch to the combination of sweet portobello mushroom, nutty Swiss cheese, and savoury turkey ham. Get this with a meal, served with small hash browns and a brewed coffee, from $7.

We love it when fast food chains release new sides and desserts, and Burger King’s latest roster is no exception. Double up on the ‘shrooms by getting their Mushroom & Cheese Coins ($5.50 for six), crisp on the outside and delightfully cheesy in the middle.

For a sweet finish, order the Banana Chocolate Pie ($2.60). Fudgy chocolate perfumed with banana is all housed in a flaky pastry shell—let’s be honest, this treat is sure to hit the spot.

From 9 June to 15 June, Burger King is also bringing their plushie keychain vending machine to three malls islandwide, so diners can stand a chance to get one of three blind box keychain designs: french fries, a button mushroom, and a wedge of cheese.

Spend a minimum of $20 at Burger King, with at least one Portobello Mushroom Swiss Burger in your receipt, to receive a token for the vending machine. Each token gets you one chance to win a mystery keychain of your choice at the vending machine.

Said machine will be at the following malls on these dates, from 12pm to 6pm:

  • 9 June to 11 June: Marina Square
  • 12 June to 13 June: Suntec City
  • 14 June to 15 June: Waterway Point

Don’t miss this limited-time chance to savour Burger King’s upgraded Portobello Mushroom Swiss lineup and snag cute merch while you’re at it!
