Burnt Cones, known for their gelato and charred cones, has opened a second outlet at The Sail, located in Marina Bay. To celebrate this opening, they will be holding a soft launch on 22 October, and will be giving out free ice cream! To claim your scoop of ice cream, simply RSVP on Burnt Cones’ website. Do note that the event will run from 6pm to 10pm, and they’ll only be giving away 500 ice creams, so it’s fastest fingers first!

As with their first store in Clementi, Burnt Cones at The Sail offers 12 ice cream flavours for you to choose from. It includes flavours such as Ube, Kaya Cendol, Bronte, Pistachio, Strawberry Basil and many more.

A single scoop is priced at $5, with an additional $1 chargeable for Signature Flavours and $2 for Supremo. If you are planning to share two flavours, opt for the Double scoop ($9) to save $1. Alternatively, zhng-up your ice cream by pairing it with a Brownie ($6), Waffle ($8), Smoked Waffle ($14), or a Cone ($1).

What’s interesting about their cones is that they come in three different shades: light, medium, and dark. Depending on your preference, you can go for the lightest cone, which has sweet, eggy notes, or the dark cone which has burnt, bitter-sweet notes.

If you’re visiting Burnt Cones for the first time, we highly recommend going for their bestselling Pistachio ($6), which is creamy with a lovely roasted aroma, or the Dark Chocolate ($6), which is rich and decadent.

For individuals who are feeling more adventurous, consider their local concoction—Kaya Cendol ($6), said to be light and creamy, and perfumed with pandan notes. Alternatively, go for the Strawberry Basil ($6) for something refreshing.

The waffle is also a must-try when you visit Burnt Cone. It is crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, with a burnt and buttery undertone, making for a great base to pair with your sweet ice cream.

If you are looking for more ice cream options, check out our Softhaus review, a new ice cream bar that includes flavours such as Popcorn Caramel Sea Salt, Avocado Banana and more. Alternatively, read our Celine’s Gelato review for a cosy and quiet ice cream spot, with wallet-friendly prices.
