Coffee lovers, here’s a new spot to add to your cafe-hopping list! The folks behind June Coffee have just opened a new cafe, Calendar Coffee, which is a two-minute walk from Maxwell MRT Station. The cosy cafe has a charming cottagecore aesthetic, complete with muted colours, wooden furniture, and homely decor.
While the cafe doesn’t offer any mains, the menu features a selection of desserts and drinks. The French toast series is definitely their most unique offering. Flavours include Apple Pie ($11++), Blueberry Cheesecake ($12++), and even savoury options such as Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese ($14++).
You’ll also find chiffon cakes ($12++) by the slice, available in three flavours: Black Sesame, Earl Grey Strawberry, and Banoffee. They also offer cookies ($6++) in Brown Butter Chocolate Chip, Buttered Toast and Jam, and Malted Milk and Cereal flavours
Pair the food with some drinks—signatures at the cafe include Roasted Rice Latte ($9++), Jasmine Apple Americano ($8.50++), Miso Caramel Hojicha ($9++), and Osmanthus Mochi Matcha ($9.50++).Â
If you’re not feeling adventurous, they also have the classics, including Double Espresso ($5++) and Latte ($7++). Choose between two coffee bean selections: Stories from Myanmar or La Reforma Santa Ana from El Salvador, for a top-up of $1++.Â
Matcha and tea lovers are not forgotten—the cafe also offers Matcha Latte ($6.50++), Hojicha Latte ($6++), and Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8.50++), as well as cold brews and hot teas. They offer three types of matcha powder: Yabukita, Premium Yabukita (+$2.50++), and Asanoka (+$5++).Â
Do note that the cafe can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to wait a little!
