Chateraise Opens Its First Unmanned 24/7 Store In Bukit Batok

Chateraise opens its first unmanned 24/7 store in Singapore

Since arriving in Singapore, popular Japanese chain Chateraise has been on the up and up: they now have over 30 outlets across the island, as well as premium concept Yatsudoki! This time, they’re back with another exciting launch. The first Chateraise Unmanned Store opened on 8 March 2024 with a 24-hour self-checkout counter so you can get your dessert fix whenever you like.

In case you need some inspiration on what to buy, check out our We Tried Every Cake From Chateraise and We Tried Every Ice Cream From Chateraise videos on Youtube.

Chateraise Unmanned Store is located at Le Quest Shopping Mall in Bukit Batok. It’s the first unmanned store in Singapore, following the successful concept launch in Japan last April.

Here’s how it works: simply enter the shop at any time of the day and choose your favourite dessert items, then make payment at the self-checkout counter. Each day, the staff will make daily visits to check on the stocks and ensure the desserts displayed are fresh.

Chateraise is known for their affordable cream puffs that come in an assortment of flavours, priced from just $1.90.

The Double Fantasy Yakiimo ($2) is a must-try for sweet potato fans; this new palm-sized dessert is packed with fresh cream and sweet potato cream, wrapped in a soft and fluffy puff. Other popular flavours include Matcha ($2), which swaps out the sweet potato filling for matcha-infused cream, and Original ($2), which comes with custard instead.

We also had to get the Warabi Mochi ($4.50) for a lovely combination of nutty soybean flour and sweet Japanese sugar syrup.

You can also get the popular Langue de Chat Sand ($9) which comes in four packets of white chocolate and another four of milk chocolate. This buttery cookie set also makes for a great gift!

Here’s one for matcha lovers: Mochi Cream Cake Matcha ($1.90). It comes packed with velvety smooth matcha cream, and we loved how stretchy and chewy the mochi was.

To beat the heat, get the adorable Taiyaki Ice Cream that comes in two flavours: Vanilla ($2.50) and Matcha ($2.50). We got the former which comprised vanilla ice cream with a layer of soft and sweet red bean paste.

Do note that whole and sliced cakes will not be available here, so you’ll have to get your fix at their other outlets.
