CQ @ Clarke Quay Has New Restaurants For Year-End Gatherings, From Authentic Turkish Food To Riverfront Dining

CQ @ Clarke Quay has new restaurants

Just in time for the upcoming festive months, CQ @ Clarke Quay is being refreshed, not just with new omni-directional angel fans and angel-shaped canopies that will keep you cool when dining here even in the day, but also new eateries that are open from lunch to dinner and beyond!

Go Middle Eastern at Grand Konak Turkish and Lebanese Cuisine, decked out in the vibiest mosaic tiles, hanging glass lamps and more. You can’t miss their Testi Kebab Lamb ($46.90++), which comes in a traditional red claypot that’s set on fire at the table! The fragrant lamb stew also comes in a chicken option; both are paired with fluffy basmati rice. 

If you’re here with a group, consider ordering yourself a Grilled Fish ($38.90++), where a whole fresh fish is baked to perfection. Squeeze some fresh lemon on this for a zesty kick.

A Middle Eastern meal isn’t complete without a selection of mezza━the Falafe ($17.90++) are a good option to start your meal, or you could order a Mezza Platter ($35.90++) for a selection of dips!

Nothing quite hits the spot like some good ol’ chilli crab, and you can find that at CQ @ Clarke Quay too, when you head to Seafood Paradise, which opened here a couple months ago. Their Popular Singapore Style Chilli Crab ($10.80++ per 100g) is the one dish that you’ll probably find on every table, with its aromatic gravy that you definitely have to dunk some of their Deep-Fried Bun ($0.90++) in.

Equally impressive is Creamy Butter Crab topped with Coconut Crumbs ($10.80++ per 100g), with a creamy, sweet and buttery gravy. Both are prepared with mud crabs, which are beloved for their meaty flesh.

On the side, try their Crispy Dough Fritters Stuffed with Seafood Paste ($12.80++), which is served with a moreish, rojak-like dipping sauce.

You don’t have to make the 20-plus-hour trip to Mexico to enjoy their culinary delights; simply pop over to Sanchos, another riverside-dining destination that promises tasty Mexican fare and drinks.

We loved their Barbacoa Tacos ($48++), which is a sharing portion for two to three diners. 

Here, slow-cooked shredded duck confit is served alongside queso, AKA a Mexican cheese dip, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, blue corn tortillas, and crema, which is a Mexican-style sour cream.

If you’re here for drinks and small bites, there’s Nachos with Chile Con Carne ($28++), topped with frijoles refrito, AKA re-fried beans, queso, avocado, a lime crema, Pico de Gallo, and house-made chilli!

Alternatively, the Seafood Ceviche ($32++) is a refreshing plate of marinated scallops and prawns in a cilantro-citrus dressing.

Skip back across the globe to Asia when you step into Nana Thai Royale━the atas sibling to the Nana Thai outlets you’ll find elsewhere on the island. 

Start with a Raw Prawns Salad ($15++), where fresh, raw prawns are topped with a Thai-style spicy sauce, and served with slices of raw bittergourd.

Featuring the same spicy dip is their Salted Grilled Fish Platter ($38.50++), where you’re meant to flake off the meat of a whole salt-baked tilapia and eat it, ssam-style, with condiments including sliced lemongrass, young ginger, shallots, chilli and more!

For tipples and food, check out Chapters by Drinks & Co, where you can enjoy a smorgasbord of Asian, Western and fusion delights alongside a huge selection of cocktails, spirits, wines and more, including Chapters Singapore Sling Premium ($26++). Meat lovers should consider the Mixed Meat Platter (from $80++); alternatively, their Steamed Flower Clams (from $28++) star fresh clams in a white wine broth.

Go local with The Singapura Club, another new entrant to the F&B scene in CQ @ Clarke Quay. Branded as an Asian tapas bar and restaurant, their menu features a medley of fusion dishes such as Singapura Chilli Crab with Youtiao ($22++) and Merdeka Satay (from ($18++), served on a charcoal grill!

Don’t miss Lil Dublin for a touch of Irish cheer too. Alongside pints of fresh-pulled draft, you can enjoy signature dishes including Bangers & Mash with Stout Onion Gravy ($20++), Guinness Beef Stew ($25++) in a house-made Guinness-based gravy, and the classic Mini Shepherd’s Pie ($16++).

Other than the bustling nightlife, CQ @ Clarke Quay can be just as friendly in the daytime too! Dine in comfort at any time of the day under the new angel-shaped canopies and refreshed alfresco dining areas.
