Popular Japanese Chain Crepe Endo Pops Up In Orchard Till 31 July

Osaka-famous Crepe Endo and LA-based Umacha are now in SG

Crepe lovers, rejoice: Crepe Endo, a popular chain hailing from Osaka, has finally arrived in Singapore. They’re partnering with Los Angeles-born Japanese tea brand Umacha for their debut via a pop-up at Shaw House in Orchard.

The pop-up has been drawing long queues since its opening, and we recommend paying a visit soon as it’s only here till 31 July 2025.

Crepe Endo is best known for their batter that’s fluffy on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside. Their speciality is the Zunda and Cream ($9.80), a crepe filled with sweet edamame paste originating from the Miyagi Prefecture in Japan.

Otherwise, the Strawberry and Cream ($9.50) is equally as delicious, starring a crepe that’s loaded with their house-made fresh cream and topped with juicy strawberry slices.

For savouries, go for the Bacon, Cheese and Mushroom ($9). This was our collective favourite, as the sautéed portobello mushrooms paired well with the smoky bacon ham, melted cheese, and fresh spinach.

A close runner-up was the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Cream Cheese ($12), a crepe which comprises smoked salmon, creamy avocado, tangy cream cheese, and fresh lettuce. That said, there were only about three thinly sliced smoked salmon in our crepe—a little disappointing for the price we paid.

Pair your crepes with Umacha’s range of artisanal teas. Popular picks include the Strawberry Matcha Latte ($7), Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea ($5.50), and the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea ($7). We got the former two since the brown sugar pearls were sold out during our visit.

For the Strawberry Matcha Latte, we thought that the house-made strawberry puree overpowered the matcha, but we appreciated that the drink had a smooth mouthfeel without any graininess.

The Osmanthus Oolong Milk tea was equally as delicious, but much more refreshing. As a plus, you get to customise your sugar and ice level for this drink too!

If you’re here with friends, go for their Bucket Lemonade series. We tried the Passion Fruit Lemonade ($8) and found the sweet-tangy mix a refreshing contrast against the richness of our crepes.

The pop-up is located at the entrance of Shaw House. It boasts a cosy space with about 20 dine-in seats.

Since the crepes and drinks here are pretty popular, we recommend visiting before the peak hours to beat the queue!

For more delicious crepes, check out The Crispy Crepes at Aperia Mall for their signature Thai-style crepes. Alternatively, read more about Tofu G, a pop-up that sells Korean tofu gelato in black sesame and sweet potato flavours.
